A Better World
The Eternity Mines
Carrion Hill has only main economic export, and that export is gathered here, in the Eternity Mines. Clerics of Urgathoa work for the owner of the mines, and CEO of Oberron Industries, Murdoch Oberon. Murdoch, a charismatic young man, heir to Oberron Industries recently acquired the Mines after his father passed away of old age. At the Howling Mines, or at consignment stations located throughout the city, willing patrons can offer their bodies in undeath in exchange for significant financial compensation. Many people who find themselves in significant financial debt sign contracts granting Oberron Industries all rights over their bodies in death as a means to help care for family left behind, or as collateral against loans. Executed criminals and dangerously insane residents at The Asylum are also sent to work in the Eternity Mines. In exchange, Oberron Industries pays a significant portion of upkeep costs for the city.
